Anathea Simpkins Campaign: Logo & Visual Identity
For Anathea Simpkins’ 2024 campaign for New York State Assembly District 50, I worked with an all-female team to develop a bold and clear visual identity that reflected her leadership, values, and dedication to the community.
The logo and promotional materials were designed to emphasize:
Her first name, ensuring it was memorable and recognizable to voters.
Her Democratic affiliation, making her political stance clear.
Empowering messaging, with “Your Voice Matters!” reinforcing the importance of civic engagement.
We chose strong, modern typography with bold pink and yellow tones to create a vibrant, energetic look. This design approach aligned with Anathea’s commitment to inclusivity, representation, and community-driven change.
As a single, working mother, anti-violence leader, educator, and longtime Greenpoint resident, Anathea ran on a platform focused on affordable housing, quality education, and small business support in Greenpoint, North Williamsburg, and South Williamsburg. The branding reflected these priorities—approachable, determined, and focused on progress.
This cohesive visual identity extended across social media, print materials, and digital promotions, ensuring a strong and consistent presence throughout her campaign.
