Brooklyn Ale House – Branding and Promotions
When I created the branding for Brooklyn Ale House, I wanted to reflect its warm, neighborhood feel and deep local roots. The centerpiece of the identity was the bar’s beloved mascot, Balto, the owner’s dog, who became an iconic symbol of the Ale House. I illustrated Balto proudly sitting among hops and wheat, reinforcing the venue’s connection to craft beer and its inviting, laid-back atmosphere.
I carried this design across signage, promotional materials, and event branding, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable look. The typography, inspired by vintage pub signage, gave the brand a timeless appeal, while the color palette of gold, black, and deep brown created a cozy and welcoming aesthetic.
For promotions, I designed flyers and signage that highlighted the Ale House’s signature offerings, like its rotating selection of 14 beers on tap, drink specials, and classic bar games like darts and pool. One of the most popular promotions, the Bagel Brunch, featured Balto holding a bagel, playfully emphasizing the free weekend bagels that drew in regulars. By blending strong visuals with a community-focused approach, I aimed to capture the essence of Brooklyn Ale House as a local favorite where great drinks and good company were always guaranteed.
